Overview
In 2023, MTB Shimla marked its 10th edition — a major milestone for one of India's most respected cross-country cycling races through the Himalayan region. Spanning 3 days and covering challenging terrains, this event brought together elite cyclists, passionate amateurs, and nature lovers from across the country.

Mainstage Bros was commissioned to visually document the race, capturing the grit, landscapes, and moments that made this edition historic.

Our Role
Led by Shantanu, our team provided on-ground photography coverage across various checkpoints and trail sections in and around Shimla. Over the course of 3 days, we moved with the riders to ensure dynamic and emotionally engaging stills were captured — no matter the altitude or terrain.

Our photography focused on:
- Athlete portraits & action shots
- Challenging mountain trails & landscapes
- Candid moments of team spirit & endurance
- Crowd interaction & cultural context of the region

Impact
The photos were widely appreciated by participants, sponsors, and the organizing team. They were used across HASTPA’s social channels, post-event press coverage, and promotional materials for future editions of the race. It reflected Mainstage Bros’ ability to handle on-ground, high-mobility shoots in fast-paced environments — with a storytelling approach that honors both adventure and authenticity.
